What an amazing Saturday it was for us at the Box as we kicked off our CrossFit MSP Weightlifting Seminar Series featuring Coaches Brian Derwin and Michael Pilhofer. This weekend was our Weightlifting 101 Seminar, first in a series of two, designed for athletes with little to no Weightlifting experience looking to build a SOLID knowledge base for the Snatch and Clean & Jerk. AMAZING progress was made by all participants as the day progressed. One of the features of our seminars is experiencing true and appropriate training loads throughout the day as part of the learning process. As one participant commented, "I'm glad I attended. This seminar is no joke! I learned so much today...it was an amazing day."
I think I can speak for all Seminar participants when I say that it was a kick a$$ weekend of learning and fun. I hope that all of you who joined us at the Seminar will put your new found knowledge to good use by putting it to practice, practice, and more practice. As we indicated this weekend, make sure you have knowledgeable "eyes" on you when you are doing these lifts. It will help a great deal with your progress.
