Gaming the Game CrossFit MSP
This picture was in a recent CrossFit Journal article titled "To Game or not to Game". One of the interesting pieces of the article that I took away from it centers around all the different ways athletes can approach a workout, based on any number of factors.

Let's take today's WOD "CINDY" as a good example. 5 Pull-ups / 10 Push-ups / 15 Squats...rinse and repeat for 20 minutes and you are done...simple enough. Most of you are either smiling because you know better or are similing because you don't. Regardless the question you have to ask yourself is what is your game plan? Which movement is going to catch you first? How can you maximize your intensity but not burn it out too early.

So I ask you...what is your game plan?

P.S. One game plan that I know nobody is going to use is to etch their Round Count on the floor with chalk smilies/grin.gif

Cindy is one of my favorites. Pushups are my limiting factor.
Game plan for any 20 Min. AMRAP = Don't rush at first & Keep on keepin on.

Save the gameplan for workouts that require broken sets.

Linda, the "stars" must not have been properly aligned for you when you were attempting to sign in...we must've had a couple of people drop off the AM roster after you attempted to sign up 'cause the class was not at max capacity this morning.

On another note, if the motivation to come to the AM class today was to avoid the heat factor, I don't think it would've made a difference. Even at 6:00am this morning, one could cut the mugginess with a dull knife!

Thanks Van. I went into the system pretty late last night, maybe a few who signed up had last minute schedule changes and could not make it after all. The heat factor is a definate benefit to the early am class, but my schedule, vs. weather dictates when I come to the box. Ran a good several trail miles instead. Have a great workout all. - Linda

Linda-I'm sorry, I was one of the AM folks that needed to make a last minute schedule change. I had a friend come in from out of town, and she didn't want to meet "Cindy" at 6am. smilies/smiley.gif I'm sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused!
